If the voice of the wrestling fraternity wasn’t enough to raise concerns about Cody Rhodes‘ WrestleMania spot usurped by Dwayne Johnson, a new yet familiar name has entered the conversation. Popular adult film actress, Ava Addams, recently quoted a reply to the report claiming The Rock doesn’t intend to pull out of WrestleMania 40 despite accruing outrage. Addams accused Johnson of only caring about getting paid and not what the fans want.
She even used #WeWantCody, a hashtag that was trending on X for 72 hours. WWE’s official YouTube video from last week’s SmackDown, where The Great One seemingly snubbed Cody Rhodes, has surpassed over 500k dislikes. In addition, some lunatic nincompoops on the internet have even proceeded to issue death threats to Johnson’s daughter, Ava Raine. As a result, the incumbent NXT General Manager has deleted her account on X.
This week on Raw, it became crystal clear that the groundswell in Cody’s support wasn’t just an online wonder. Countless signboards reflecting the support for Rhodes were spotted throughout the arena. Even before the show could begin, the fans were booing the segment from last Friday that was on display on the jumbotron.

Once Seth Rollins kicked off the show and called out Cody Rhodes, the ambiance became even more hostile. Several “Rocky Sucks” chants rang out, and per WrestleVotes, they totally threw some people off in WWE.
Even though the company leaned on the reaction Rhodes had gotten up until that point, no one would’ve expected such a response for The Rock. Despite Rollins trying his best to carve out a response from The American Nightmare, Cody didn’t reveal his pick for WrestleMania.

As much as the reports continue to surface, trying to decipher the entire situation, it gets even more baffling. Recently, Dave Meltzer posted that Triple H was more than aware of The Rock’s WrestleMania involvement at the juncture where he honed Cody Rhodes to win this year’s Royal Rumble match.
The latest note from Fightful Select gives further insight. According to it, Rhodes actually voiced his thought in front of WWE that the pivot they’re making for WrestleMania will not bode well among the fans.
The report also stated that Cody is a company man and has long respected the decisions of WWE. Moreover, as of the week before the Royal Rumble, it was reiterated to Cody that he’s going to face Roman Reigns in Philadelphia.
