Backstage update on WWE’s blood use policy following Raw segment involving The Rock and Cody Rhodes
The Rock's hellacious beatdown on Cody Rhodes led to many speculations regarding WWE's blood use policy.

The Rock and Cody Rhodes (via WWE)
The Rock absolutely annihilated Cody Rhodes in one of the most iconic segments on Monday Night Raw. He delivered on his promise to Rhodes’ mother, vowing that he would make his son bleed. The use of blood in WWE is very rare, so to see The American Nightmare profusely bleeding was shocking to fans.ย
According to Dave Meltzer, The Rock has now become an authoritative figure; therefore, he could do whatever he wants. He stated that the gnarly scenery on Raw made one thing clear: Vince McMahon is not in charge anymore. During McMahon’s regime, the use of blood with the help of blades was banned.ย

He further added that it won’t be used more liberally, like in AEW. Instead, it will be a rare occurrence going forward. The Great One recently joined the TKO Board of Directors, and his position in the company is regarded very highly. Therefore, The Brahma Bull isn’t privy to the common standards and practices in WWE.
As far as what it all means, we were told that Dwayne Johnson as always will get to do pretty much what he wants. The further he pushes, itโs likely the further at least some of the top stars can with language. With blood, the key is that this is no longer Vince McMahonโs company.Dave Meltzer via WON
The Rock made this rivalry even more personal by brutally attacking The American Nightmare on the latest episode of Raw. He will fight the duo of Seth Rollins and Rhodes alongside Roman Reigns in the Night 1 main event of WrestleMania. It will be interesting to see which team comes out on top. But first, fans would like to know how Rhodes will respond following the brutal beatdown from The Final Boss.
Drew McIntyre talked about The Rock’s return to WWE
Although Drew McIntyre is focused on his rivalry with Seth Rollins, he also keeps an eye on what happens on the other brands. As such, he expressed his genuine opinion about The Rock’s recent return to the company in an interview.

The Scottish Warrior recently spoke with Colan Lamont of The Scottish Sunย and talked about how passionate Rocky still was for wrestling. McIntyre stated that his return brought many fans back to watch wrestling again. Interestingly, he opened up about a conversation he had with The Great One, where the latter praised him and saw him as a breakout star.
When it comes to The Rock, itโs amazing he has such a passion for our business still. ย It can only be a good thing because it brings so many extra eyeballs, and those people become new fans โ maybe they came for The Rock and stayed for Drew McIntyre. When someone like The Rock believes in you, itโs pretty cool. The first chance we got, I thanked him for that privately and he was appreciative of that too.Drew McIntyre on The Rock via The Scottish Sun
McIntyre further expressed his desire to work with The Brahma Bull if the storyline involving him makes sense. As of now, he will challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. It will be interesting to see whether he accomplishes his dream of becoming a world champion in front of live fans or not.
