WWE superstar Baron Corbin is known for getting into controversies due to his heel persona. In a recent podcast with Chris Van Vliet, Corbin recalled the time when hitting a top WWE superstar did not end well for him. The name in question is Becky Lynch. The Lone Wolf revealed that he received many death threats after hitting Lynch with his finisher in the match.

Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans once faced Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch in a “winners take all” match. During the contest, Corbin attacked an unprepared Becky Lynch with an ‘End of Days,’ which caught her off guard. Shock and anger swept through the entire arena as the crowd witnessed what had unfolded before their very eyes.

Speaking with Chris van Vliet on his podcast, Baron Corbin revealed that he received severe backlash due to that segment at Extreme Rules. Corbin also acknowledged that people are so engrossed in the product that they tend to forget that it’s all for the purpose of the storyline. The 39-year-old revealed that he received many detrimental threats after that moment.

Can we make people think what we’re doing is 100% real.

Both Baron Corbin and Becky Lynch are currently working in NXT. While Corbin is fighting for his No. 1 contender spot against Carmelo Hayes and Dijak, Becky Lynch just lost her NXT Women’s title against her fellow Irish rising talent, Lyra Valkyria. Baron Corbin seemingly teases a potential alliance with Chad Gable

Baron Corbin recently teased teaming up with Alpha Academy leader Chad Gable. WWE’s rumored plans to host Backlash 2024 in Paris, France, thrilled both superstars. As a result, Gable took the opportunity and asked Corbin to team up with him. The Lone Wolf immediately replied to the offer on X. He replied, “I’m game!”

The two superstars have quite a history on the main roster. Their epic rivalry unfolded in the King of the Ring tournament finals, showcasing their intense battles in the past. Corbin got the better of the 37-year-old in that match and became King of the Ring in 2019.

They met once again in a singles match four years later on Monday Night Raw, when Gable returned the favor by beating Corbin via Ankle Lock. Therefore, fans will love to see a program between the two superstars in the near future.

As of now, both superstars are on different paths. However, after their recent Twitter exchange, the WWE Universe started to speculate whether there would be a storyline involving both Corbin and Gable leading up to the potential Backlash event in Paris in 2024.
