After her return from injury at SummerSlam last year, Bayley is having a decent run. The self-proclaimed role model made her anticipated return alongside Io Sky, and Dakota Kai. The trio made their appearance with a faction named ‘Damage CTRL.‘ Ever since her return, Bayley and her team members have been feuding with most of the women on Raw. They also tasted success, as Dakota and Sky are the current women’s tag team champions. Bayley also competed for the Raw women’s championship on multiple occasions but failed to win.
This past Monday on Raw Is XXX, Bayley was set to square off in a steel cage match. The match was supposed to be against her old friend Becky Lynch. However, Becky was attacked by the Damage CTRL even before the start of the match. The match not happening indicates the continuation of the rivalry. However, fans were pissed off on the internet as they expected to see a brutal match between two former friends. In her recent interview with BT Sport, Bayley discussed her segment on “Raw IS XXX” and many other aspects.
The Bella Twins, who had previously been announced to appear, were left out of Raw Is XXX, causing an uproar. The fans on the internet accused WWE of ignoring women’s evolution and more. In turn, Bayley has seemingly answered those stammering claims in her interview. Reports suggest that the steel cage match this past Monday was canceled due to a longer-than-expected Bloodline segment. Fans expressed their backlash on the internet. But Bayley requested that the fans not think that women’s wrestling is going backwards and said women are being treated well backstage.

Bayley and Damage CTRL are declared for Royal Rumble
With the Royal Rumble just around the corner, Bayley and the Damage CTRL have declared themselves for the match. The trio of Bayley, Io Sky, and Dakota Kai are set to compete in the women’s Royal Rumble match. Bayley declared their inclusion in the match on SmackDown this week. Bayley also discussed how Damage Control planned to outperform the other women in the Rumble match. On this week’s SmackDown, she said, “no matter whoever of the three wins, it’s a win for Damage CTRL as a whole.”
In her promo on SmackDown, Bayley clearly mentioned her goal of helping Damage CTRL win the women’s Rumble match. Bayley has been pursuing the Raw women’s championship since her return, but has yet to win it despite numerous opportunities. This Saturday could be the start of something big for Bayley, as she plans on winning the women’s Rumble match. It would be the first Royal Rumble win for the former women’s champion if she manages to pull it off.
Whether or not any of the members of Damage Control win, they appear to be poised to dominate the Rumble match. Their attack on Becky this past Monday has provided them with much-needed momentum heading into the women’s Rumble match. Overall, the start of 2023 has been great for the trio, and with Triple H in charge, fans could expect great things from them this year. Bayley and the Damage CTRL could kick off their dominant run in 2023 on Saturday.
