Bayley was in a state of shock at the end of the match with fellow Damage CTRL member and the current WWE Women’s Champion, Iyo Sky. Although she should have been happy when her teammate won, she was looking into the ring with fear of a person whom she brutally attacked and forced to be out with an injury. That person was Kairi Sane, who had bad blood with Bayley.

Iyo Sky was fighting against Bianca Belair for the WWE Women’s Championship at Crown Jewel. When it looked like Belair might win the match by defeating the champion, the Pirate Princess Kairi Sane returned and attacked Belair, which gave Sky the opening she wanted and clinched the victory.

Kairi’s return may have been in the favor of Iyo, but Bayley seemed shocked and in disbelief after seeing her old rival. On the July 28th, 2020 episode of Raw, Bayley brutally attacked Sane backstage to distract Asuka during her title match with Sasha Banks. This forced the 35-year-old to be out due to injury. However, in reality, Sane’s contract had expired and she was leaving the company.
