At SummerSlam 2018, Becky Lynch was left out of the title decision. This sparked a fire in Lynch. And she began a memorable feud with Charlotte Flair and eventually became the biggest star in women’s wrestling. She went on to headline WrestleMania 35, which was the first-ever women’s WrestleMania main event in WWE history. The Man’s rise to the top was a result of her hard work, determination, and connection with the fans.

While talking recently on Know Mercy with Stephen A. Smith, The Man addressed the celebrities being involved in wrestling storylines. Becky Lynch also discussed how celebrities taking the spotlight can be dangerous for the product.

“That can be a bit of a problem. Personally, and from a work ethic standpoint, that you put all of this effort into this all year round. And when the big shows come. When the big stadiums come, and there’s 80,000 people, you want to receive your flowers for that hard work you’ve been putting in all year round. So that we can do this,” Lynch stated.

She also admitted that celebrities in wrestling are, in fact, fantastic. However, they cannot define the pro wrestling business. The seven-time women’s champion addressed the fact that the guys who make wrestling their sole focus and wrestle three to four times a week should be at the forefront.

Becky also mentioned the likes of Pat McAfee and Logan Paul. Saying they deserve their kudos for having three good matches a year. Nevertheless, she revealed that this business is tough and it’s all about skill and craft. And without those people who are legitimate wrestlers, the art of pro wrestling will eventually be dead.

Becky Lynch is currently enjoying a decent run on the WWE main roster, as she is the women’s tag team champion along with Lita. However, The Man has been out of the main event picture for quite some time now. While sharing the tag team title with a Hall of Famer is no lesser, fans want to see the vintage version of Becky.

As per the rumors, The Man will be feuding against her current ally, the WWE Hall of Famer, Trish Stratus, going forward. Once she will be set and done with the women’s tag team division, there are signs of big things to come for Lynch. Hence, it remains to be seen what WWE has in store for one of the greatest female wrestlers.
