Dean Meron, better known as Alexander Dean, passed away at the age of 35 this past week. The unfortunate news was shared by the Bohemian Football Club, which was the pro wrestler’s favorite team. In light of the tragedy, Becky Lynch penned a heartfelt note in memory of one of her closest friends on her X account.

First, she praised Meron for the kind, hilarious, talented, and genuine person he was. Furthermore, the former Women’s Champion mentioned how she could always talk about anything with her pal. “When I got my tryout you were one of the first people I told. I’d pick you up and we’d drive to Bray together, talking about life and wrestling and CrossFit,” she wrote.

Payback 2023 was one of the most entertaining premium live events of the year. The opener of the show saw Becky Lynch defeat her longtime rival, Trish Stratus, in a gruesome Steel Cage match. Afterwards, the latter took to her Instagram account to thank her opponent for their encounter.

The Hall of Famer posted a photo of herself giving a sight to the injury she sustained to her forehead. Furthermore, she captioned the image with “#ThankYouBecky” The pair overdelivered on everyone’s expectations that night. A large part of that was due to their disappointing and prolonged feud.

However, both women proved a point in their battle. Trish Stratus gave a legendary performance despite being 47 years old while Becky Lynch showcased why she is still one of the best at what she does. Lynch will battle NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton next week for the title.
