SummerSlam 2022 was a good event put on by WWE, it wasn’t great but surely deserves thumbs up and will entertain you for 4 hours. The first match on the card was that of Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair in which Big Time Becks has secured a defeat. Becky Lynch’s chase for the RAW Women’s Championship hasn’t yet finished, but her rivalry with Bianca Belair has come to an end it seems as both women shook hands and hugged each other after the match. The hug received a loud crowd pop and indicated that both women now respect each other.
After Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair were surprised by the return of Bayley, who along with Dakota Kay and Iyo Sky walked towards the ring, The three of them confronted the two women, who now looked united and it seemed that Becky Lynch had returned to being the babyface now. There was no Physical altercation involved between then and the segment received great response. “The Role Model” was supposed to face Belair at the MITB event last year but was sidelined due to injury and had been out of action for a year now.
Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair lasted for about 15:10 minutes
Becky Lynch and Bianca have faced each other numerous times but this was going to be epic as it was a closure to their rivalry. Becky Lynch utilized all of her in-ring experience to avoid Bianca’s influence and accepted the heckling from the crowd. She concentrated on Belair’s arm, Becky Lynch countered a Kiss of Death from Belair into a dis-arm-her, it looked as if Bianca was on the verge of tapping but she managed to roll out of the ring. Bianca then dragged Becky Lynch out of the ring and delivered a kiss of death on the floor to her.
Becky barely beat the referee’s 10-count, escaping another K.O.D. before pulling Bianca off the top turnbuckle by her braid for a Manhandle Slam and went for a pin but Belair kicked out. At the climax, Becky Lynch climbed onto the top rope to deliver a Manhandle Slam, but Bianca Belair reversed it into a Spanish Fly before planting Becky with a final Kiss of Death to retain the WWE RAW Women’s Championship via pinfall.
After the match Becky Lynch was seen leaving the arena with a medical team and it appeared as if she has been injured. She was walking by keeping her arm close to her body, indicating that she might have injured her shoulder. Many are also speculating that Becky Lynch might take a break after this match as she has been a parent now and has been on the road for long now. It has also been said that she might sign a contract similar to that of Roman Reigns and appear only at major Live Events.
