Becky Lynch teases going after the NXT Women’s Championship after 24-year-old superstar botches her name in a major way
Becky Lynch might have set her eyes on Tiffany Stratton's NXT Women's Title after she made an incorrect reference regarding Lynch.
Becky Lynch hasn't been an NXT Women's Champion in her career (via- ESPN)
Becky Lynch might have set her sights on the NXT Women’s Title. She started off her career in NXT and went on to headline WrestleMania. However, like the other four horsewomen, she hasn’t captured the gold in NXT. That said, a major botch from Tiffany Stratton, the current NXT Women’s Champion, might’ve just struck Becky in her mind.
On this week’s episode of NXT Heatwave, Stratton cut a promo about how she’s going to be the best champion in history. Further, she mentioned a few of the previous title holders and vowed to surpass them. However, she too included Becky Lynch’s name in that list, which was obviously something she misspoke.
However, she corrected herself later during a backstage interview. But that botch did catch the attention of Big Time Becks. Therefore, she quoted a reply on Twitter (now X) and simply said that she hasn’t been a NXT Women’s Champion, with an interesting GIF attached to it. Clearly, she’s considering adding another feather to her cap.
Becky has had a successful career on the main roster. There’s absolutely nothing left for her to accomplish on a personal level except being Miss Money in the Bank. However, it might be time for her to go back to her roots and spend some time with the new crop of talent. Her potential feud with Tiffany Stratton over the NXT Women’s Title would benefit both of them.
Becky Lynch’s feud with Trish Stratus has fallen off
Sadly, the ongoing saga between Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus has turned monotonous. Most of the fans don’t even care what’s going on between them. This Monday on RAW, the Quebec City crowd lashed profane chants during their promo segment. Those French slurs meant that they didn’t give a “f**k” to whatever was going on in the ring.
Lynch and Stratus will battle inside a steel cage at Payback. That should end their rivalry once and for all. Surely, whatever WWE had expected out of this feud hasn’t been the case. Few errors here and there have eventually cooled down the magnitude of their rivalry. One would definitely make an argument that they should’ve gotten their match at SummerSlam. But now, it’s gone and pretty much the fan interest has nosedived.
