Becky Lynch has set the record for being the longest reigning RAW Women’s Champion in WWE. During her reign Becky had to vacate her Championship mid-way due to her real-life pregnancy. Lynch went on a hiatus from May 2020 to August 2021, she returned at SummerSlam 2021. At the event Bianca Belair was supposed to defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Sasha Banks but the latter wasn’t cleared to compete. Lynch then returned after a 15-month hiatus and challenged Belair for the Championship, which Belair accepted but was defeated by the returning Lynch.
Becky Lynch won the SmackDown Women’s Championship for the 4th time in her career after beating Belair at SummerSlam 2021. Thereafter Becky defended her title at Extreme Rules, Crown Jewel and then exchanged her Championship with the then RAW Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair as they both were drafted to RAW and SmackDown respectively. Thereafter Becky Lynch became the RAW Women’s Champion but lost it to Bianca at WrestleMania 38. Lynch has since failed to win it back.
Becky Lynch participates in the UpUpDownDown Championship Tournament
The UpUpDownDown is a YouTube Channel run by New Day member Xavier Woods, where he organizes one on one fights in the video game. The UpUpDownDown even has its own Championship and the WWE wrestlers fight for it. The Championship was won by Seth Rollins on the episode that premiered on July 2. Seth won by defeating Riddle in the finals.
Becky Lynch had also participated in the tournament but lost the match in the first round against Riddle. Lynch thereafter supported her husband Seth Rollins in the tournament and planted a kiss after he won the Championship.
During the filming of the newest edition of the UpUpDownDown tournament, Seth Rollins told Becky Lynch that she couldn’t multitask, to which she responded that she is focused, which is why she is outperforming him. Becky taunts him at the conclusion of the video, saying that Seth isn’t as good as us. It is unknown if they fought against each other in the video game competition, and we will have to wait until the next episode to find out.
Becky Lynch is set to face Bianca Belair at SummerSlam for the RAW Women’s Championship and Seth Rollins will face Riddle at SummerSlam in a singles match.
