“I’ve been ready”- Becky Lynch declares that she is ready to face the RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair at SummerSlam

Becky Lynch in WWE
Becky Lynch won her first RAW Women’s Championship for the first time at WrestleMania 35 in a winner takes all match, she defeated Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey to win both the titles at once. She held the title for 398 days before relinquishing it due to her pregnancy. Lynch was made the RAW Women’s Champion the second time when she was drafted to RAW in 2021, thereby exchanging her SmackDown Women’s Championship with the then RAW Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. Before the exchange Lynch was in her 4th reign as the SmackDown Women’s Champion.
Becky Lynch has not been in her supreme form as of lately, since her loss at WrestleMania 38 against Bianca Belair she hasn’t been able to clinch the Women’s Championship again. At the event, Lynch performed a Man-Handle Slam about a minute into the game and attempted to pin, but Belair kicked out. “The Man” then applied the “Dis-Arm-Her” on Belair but the latter managed to touch the rope. Becky then delivered a “Man Handle Slam” to Bianca on the steel stairs at the ringside and entered the ring in the hopes of winning by count-out, but Bianca arrived just in time. Belair ultimately gave Lynch the Kiss of Death to claim the victory.

Becky Lynch failed to win the RAW Women’s Championship at Hell in a Cell

Becky Lynch failed to win the no 1 contender’s match for RAW Women’s Championship at WWE Hell in a Cell against Asuka on an edition of RAW in May. On the May 23 RAW episode, Lynch was given a second chance with the condition that if she defeated Asuka, she would then be included in the match with Asuka to fight RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair at Hell in a Cell. Becky defeated Asuka that week and cemented her spot.
At the event, Halfway through the match, despite being in a double ankle lock by Asuka, both Belair and Lynch managed to reach the ropes. Bianca was the target of a Manhandle Slam by Lynch, but Asuka broke the pin. At the conclusion, Becky tossed Belair out of the ring before hitting Asuka with a second Manhandle Slam. Belair made a comeback and knocked Lynch out of the ring and then proceeded to pin Asuka to retain the RAW Women’s championship.
Thereafter Bianca Belair defended her title against Carmella at the MITB Live event and this week on RAW Carmella got her rematch. Towards the end of the match Carmella blinded Belair by poking finger in her eye but the latter managed to put Carmella back in the ring. Becky Lynch who was seated at the ringside distracted Belair by arguing with her and thus Carmella won the match via count out. Since the match could be won via Submission or pinfall, Belair still has the Championship with her.
The USA Network today posted on its twitter handle sharing an excerpt from the match and said that Bianca is ready to face Lynch and that we would love to see it, to which Lynch replied back and said that she is ready.
“@BiancaBelairWWE is ready to run it back with @BeckyLynchWWE for the #WomensTitle! And we’d LOVE to see it! #WWERaw”
“I’ve been ready” replied Becky Lynch
The WWE on FOX on twitter asked the WWE Universe if Lynch deserved a championship opportunity at SummerSlam, to which “The Man” has replied as Yes.
“Does@BeckyLynchWWEdeserve a title match at #SummerSlam? #WWERaw”
“Yes”. Replied Becky Lynch.
The match for the RAW Women’s Championship at SummerSlam hasn’t been decided as of yet but it has been speculated that it will be a Triple Threat Match involving Becky Lynch, Carmella and the Champion Bianca Belair.
