Becky Lynch lived up to her promise at Elimination Chamber, outlasting five other women to punch her ticket to WrestleMania. As expected, her performance inside the barbaric cage structure was incredible. However, what many fans might’ve missed was the Irish star’s in-ring gear. Lynch seemingly paid tribute to WWE Hall of Famer, Scott Hall.
The Man dawned the popular red and black colors and design of the legend. Hall is considered one of the biggest stars in WCW history, most notably for his run in the New World Order (NWO). In WWE, The Bad Guy went by the in-ring name of Razor Ramon, putting on numerous incredible in-ring performances during his time. Unfortunately, Hall passed away in March 2022 after suffering multiple heart attacks.
In the past, many wrestlers have worn in-ring gear as a way to pay tribute to legends and other stars. Becky Lynch competed in her first ever Elimination Chamber match of her career. In the closing stretch of the bout, Liv Morgan eliminated Bianca Belair with a roll-up, after which Big Time Becks immediately delivered a Manhandle Slam on Morgan to pick up the win.
Lynch will now focus on perhaps the biggest challenge of her career so far, Rhea Ripley. At WrestleMania 40, the two top superstars will collide on the main roster for the first time. Meanwhile, Mami is riding on a high wave of momentum, defeating Nia Jax in front of her home crowd at Elimination Chamber.
Becky Lynch comments on reconciling friendship with Charlotte Flair
After the 2021 WWE Draft, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair met in the ring for a title swap segment. However, things went south quickly when The Queen went off-script, leading to a real-life falling out between the two. Two years later, the pair squashed their beef when they teamed together at Survivor Series 2023. Recently, Lynch addressed her relationship with Flair.
In an interview with Alex McCarthy of the Daily Mail, The Man called the moment at the press conference “nice.” Moreover, the former Women’s Champion claimed that she and Flair are always going to be at odds. However, it felt good for her to settle the differences and reconcile with her fellow Horsewoman.
But, it was nice. Animosity, especially for a long time, begins to weigh on you and begins to get heavy and it’s nice to get a break from that.
Becky Lynch on reconciling with Charlotte Flair
The pair’s off-screen animosity was implemented in the buildup to last year’s Survivor Series. Subsequently, this led to a wholesome moment in the match where Lynch and Flair hugged it out in the middle of the ring. Needless to say, fans were pleased to see that the two long-time friends were on good terms now.
