“I HATE it” Former WWE Writer Criticises Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar’s ALL-OUT Brawl on RAW

“I HATE it” Former WWE Writer Criticises Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar’s ALL-OUT Brawl on RAW

Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar are all set to collide with each other at Crown Jewel. Lesnar returned to WWE last week in a shocking manner and attacked Lashley out of nowhere this costing him his United State Championship later as he was not able to give in his 100% after being manhandled by Lesnar.

This gave Seth Rollins an undue advantage and Rollins was able to clinch off the title from The Almighty’s waist. Ever since the title loss, Lashley looked furious and was waiting for revenge on Lesnar. Thus, Bobby Lashley decided to open today’s Monday Night RAW by calling out Lesnar for a showdown.

All hell breaks loose between Lesnar and Bobby Lashley on RAW, Former Writer Criticises the segment

Bobby Lashley Brock Lesnar
Bobby Lashley manhandled Brock Lesnar and took him out after delivering a thunderous spear though the barricade.

Lesnar immediately answered his challenge and ran towards Lashley shoving up him near the ring. However, Bobby Lashley quickly fought back and sent him straight through the barricade with an overpowering spear.

All hell broke loose as the security, locker room superstars looked out to stop both superstars from creating a menace. But it seems like Lashley was unstoppable as he power slammed Lesnar on the commentary table.

Though, fans loved the segment, it seems like a former WWE writer has some issues regarding the segment. Vince Russo who is known for being the main writer for WWE Attitude Era while reviewing the show criticized WWE for having no follow-ups to the segment whatsoever.

In an interview, Russo has said that how the announcer’s didn’t mention anything about the segment when the show returned from the commercial break and they just moved ahead to show what was lined up for the show that night.

Russo pointed out that WWE should atleast have discussed the aftermath or should’ve followed up the segment in some or the other way. He also said that despite having Brock Lesnar, who is brand’s biggest superstar at the moment the company didn’t use him for the full show but just showed him in a segment.

The former WWE writer suggested that a follow up of Lesnar confronting Bobby Lashley after the vicious attack should’ve followed up to make the storyline more compelling. “If this were a real out of control brawl that opened up the show, we wouldn’t go on to ‘oh, here is what’s on the rest of tonight’s show’ and then totally ignore that.” Russo said.

“We would go back to Bobby [Lashley], we would go back to Brock. I hate it when they do that. You have got to write this show like this stuff is actually happening.” Russo has been a regular critique of WWE’s work lately and regularly provides his opinions and thoughts on the recent happenings in WWE.
