After five months since their introduction, Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits have seemingly revealed their faction name. Recent reports suggested that WWE proposed the name, The Pride. Therefore, The Almighty changed his ‘X’ bio to “leader of THE PRIDE,” confirming the same. However, Lashley deleted it quickly ahead of the SmackDown episode.
Despite that, many fans caught on to the update and poured in their thoughts online. The name has received mixed reactions, with some preferring “Hurt Business” to it. On the latest episode, there was surprisingly no reference to the name change. The trio was focused on taking revenge against the newly formed group of Karrion Kross and AOP.
Interestingly, it was the new team that revealed its name on SmackDown: The Final Testament. As of now, there is no confirmation on why Bobby Lashley deleted the updated. Moreover, WWE might have scrapped plans for the revelation to happen this week. The faction was initially intended to be ‘heels’ on the main roster, but favorable fan reactions led to them turning ‘face’.
The 47-year-old will be entering the Men’s Royal Rumble match in two weeks. As a result, this rivalry might carry into the bout, with both factions looking to establish themselves as viable threats. It will be intriguing to see what lies ahead for Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits on the Road to WrestleMania.
Bobby Lashley teases major showdown with Roman Reigns
The Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, has not had a good start to the year. Whether it was The Rock threatening to claim his throne or Nick Aldis booking him in unfavorable match types, The Head of the Table has a hectic few months ahead of him. Things went from bad to worse on this week’s SmackDown when another big name, Bobby Lashley, teased coming after him.
In a backstage segment, Paul Heyman tried to convince The Almighty to join The Bloodline in the main event. However, Lashley not only denied the proposition but told The Wiseman he was coming for Reigns. For years, fans have awaited a gigantic clash between the two superstars.
While it seems unlikely this will happen soon, the two-time WWE Champion planted the seeds for an eventual showdown. In addition to that, the WWE Universe might also see a battle between the two factions led by Lashley and Reigns.
