It’s been a while since the fans have seen Bobby Lashley in a match. But put that hiatus to rest. He will potentially break the streak on tonight’s SmackDown. A few hours ago, WWE confirmed that he’ll go one-on-one with Rey Mysterio. It’s going to be a non-title match. However, considering that Lashley and The Street Profits will take on the Latino World Order at Fastlane tomorrow night, the singles match suddenly gains utmost importance.

It would be interesting to see who gains the upper hand on the go-home show for Fastlane. In recent weeks, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins have targeted the LWO in their pursuit of impressing Bobby Lashley. Two weeks ago, Ford and Dawkins lost a tag team match against Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar. That result incensed The Almighty. Bobby even said that he might’ve picked the wrong duo while scouting the next big thing in WWE.

Making amends for their blunder, Ford and Dawkins unleashed a blindsided assault on Mysterio and Escobar after their US title match on SmackDown. And guess what? That was enough to put a smile on Lashley’s face as he went on to realign himself with The Street Profits. Later on, Rey Mysterio condemned that attack and demanded a tag team match for Fastlane, which got official in no time.

Security thwarted Dragon Lee’s attempted intervention on behalf of LWO during Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins’ display of brute force. This incident hints at the possibility of Dragon Lee aligning himself with LWO in anticipation of their upcoming showdown.
