WWE Hall of Famer talks about the animosity between him and Triple H
WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg recently discussed the tension between him and Triple H during his initial stint in the business during an interview on the Talk is Jericho podcast. During his time in WCW, Goldberg claimed that he was hanging out with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, but their closest buddy was Triple H, about whom they would discuss and talk about their group The Kliq constantly.
Goldberg claimed that Triple H and him had a history of enmity and their managers at the time were similar and things were going back and forth a lot. Goldberg was dissatisfied with how Triple H was booked against him by the WWE, particularly with the Game’s two pins to defeat him. From that point on, until his comeback in 2016, Goldberg lambasted both The Game and the WWE. Since then, the two have reconciled, and Goldberg has been a member of the WWE since 2016.
On a recent episode of the Hall of Fame Podcast, Booker T lauded the Game and claimed that Triple H was not given credit for being a tough guy in the organization. In the squared circle, the Hall of Famer claimed that Triple H was always ready to accept anything and that he was the one who would assert that an opponent would have to kill him in order to defeat him. The Game has endured a great deal of brutality in the ring, and Booker T stated he appreciates him for that.
“No one gave him the credit for how tough he really was. No one gave him the credit for how much he was willing to take inside of that squared circle. No one gave him credit for being one of those guys who say, ‘You gonna have to kill me if you want to beat me.’ Hunter was kind of like that. He was in the middle of that ring and it was brutal, it was brutality a lot of times. I was like, wow. I respected that. I really respected that.”
Triple H has been doing the Job of Head of Creative very well and has gotten praise from many wrestling pundits for putting up a great show at SummerSlam. The Game has been bringing back released WWE Superstars and giving the necessary push to the ones that needed it.
