Sasha Banks, a.k.a. Mercedes Mone, is one of the hottest free agents in professional wrestling. She has a huge fanbase, which wishes to see her back in WWE. As Mone has teased quite a few times about her return to WWE, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T believes that she will return to the company in 2024.
On his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T stated that the regime in WWE has changed. Booker added that the reason Sasha left WWE is no longer a factor, and after CM Punk’s return to the company, there is a possibility of Mone returning to the company in 2024.
Maybe some of the issues that she was not too pleased with before are no longer a factor. It says it on his shirt, Hell froze over and CM Punk came back after ten years. You know what I mean? There’s a lane for Sasha Banks to stash Mercedes Mone, and I’m making a prediction. I’m calling it. She’s back in 2024. In WWE, it’s a done deal in my mind.Booker T on Mercedes Mone
Furthermore, Booker T expressed that to him, it feels like Sasha has been gone for too long. In essence, her return to WWE would allow the fans to see some iconic matches as well. Moreover, Booker said that Sasha Banks is WWE-bound, and she deserves the huge pay she is asking for.
Besides, Sasha Banks has teased a number of times about her return to WWE. The Blueprint left the company last year. Following her departure from WWE, she made a name for herself in NJPW as she had a few matches before injuring her ankle. Only time will tell where the future of the Boss is headed in her professional wrestling career.
Booker T believes Mercedes Mone is not fit for AEW
Mercedes Mone has been a sensational superstar. She has achieved greatness in WWE and outside as well. Amid her return rumors to WWE, Booker T spoke about the scenario of Mone being in AEW.
On his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T stated that Mercedes is not fit for AEW’s women’s division. He added that there are not enough women in the company, which makes it less likely for Mone to sign with AEW. Although Booker named Britt Baker as a possible rival for the Boss in AEW, she was the only person the WWE Hall of Famer mentioned.
I just don’t think she [fits] in AEW. I didn’t think there [were] enough girls in the company for her to actually be able to work with, other than one or two girls. Britt Baker … and who else? No, no, seriously.Booker T on Mercedes Mone
Besides, AEW has not been featuring women’s wrestling as much in the last five years. Although Britt Baker was the flag bearer of AEW’s women’s division, she is barely getting any TV time as of now. It is going to be interesting to see where the future of Mercedes Mone is headed from here on out.
