Everyone in the wrestling industry was taken aback when Triple H announced the sad demise of Bray Wyatt. Several superstars from the past and present took to Twitter to pay their respects to Windham Rotunda. However, two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T was caught off-guard by the news, which was captured in his live podcast.
While shooting the latest episode of “Reality of Wrestling,” Booker T was talking about the passing of another legend, Terry Funk, who sadly passed away yesterday. He was sharing memories about Funk with co-host Brad Gilmore when the latter broke the news to him. He saw a message in the chats and confirmed the news by reading Triple H’s official statement on Twitter.
Booker T was visibly shattered as soon as he heard the news of Wyatt’s demise. The WWE Hall of Famer was completely numb on his live stream and could not believe what he just heard. His expressions clearly reflected his emotions. Due to the sudden shock, the podcast went on a break for some time, and the two came back to continue it.
As the news just broke and many details were not out at the time, Booker T and Brad Gilmore refused to make any speculations. They wished for Wyatt’s family to have strength in these testing times. Watch the video here.
Booker also recalled speculating on Bray Wyatt’s return to WWE soon. He did not expect to hear about his passing and talked about Wyatt’s children. Booker also said that he lost his father at a very young age and therefore feels sad for Wyatt’s children.

All the proceeds from Bray Wyatt’s merchandise sales from WWE Shop to go to Wyatt’s family

As the entire wrestling community mourns the passing of Windham Rotunda, better known as Bray Wyatt, WWE pulled off a kind gesture on their website. WWE posted on their website, “In the wake of Bray Wyatt’s death, WWE will donate all net proceeds to support Jojo Offerman and his children.” This would imply that all the revenue that WWE will generate from Wyatt’s merchandise sales will be forwarded to his family and children.
The class act is getting a lot of appreciation from WWE fans. Wyatt has left behind his fiance, former WWE announcer Jojo Offerman, and their four children. According to the rumors on the internet, WWE is also in talks to cancel all the existing plans for the upcoming episode of SmackDown. Instead, it will be a tribute show for Bray Wyatt, celebrating his career in WWE.
Bray Wyatt was considered to be one of the greatest wrestling minds of the genre. His character work and storyline buildup were unparalleled, according to several veterans and WWE superstars. Therefore, losing such a bright mind at such an early age has sent shock waves throughout the industry.
