Cody Rhodes essentially obliterated Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on Raw. Not many can say that they’ve got the better of arguably the best trash talker in wrestling history. Therefore, it isn’t surprising to see that Cody’s wife, Brandi Rhodes, was proud of her husband after his promo. The 40-year-old has weighed in her opinion and taken jabs at The Bloodline and Rock himself.
Brandi took to X to heap praise on The American Nightmare’s segment. The former AEW star claimed that she was “full” from watching Cody bury The Rock on the microphone. Moreover, she asserted that her husband “ate” enough for her family and perhaps, the fans. This was the general consensus last night when the second-generating star roasted The Brahma Bull. Rhodes called the Hollywood actor a “whiny b*tch” and an “a**hole,” refusing to back down from his insults.

Evidently, the former Intercontinental Champion vented his anger and frustration at Rocky’s constant personal remarks at him. Rhodes mentioned how it was The Great One who needed WWE at the moment rather than the other way around. Furthermore, the Royal Rumble winner cast doubts on whether he could perform in the ring and if he would show up at WrestleMania with LDS- Little D*ck Syndrome.
The Rock did comment on the segment, hitting back at a fan who claimed that Cody Rhodes “cooked” him. During the show, it was announced that The People’s Champ will be appearing on the Raw before the Showcase of Immortals. It will be interesting to see whether he drops yet another social media promo on The American Nightmare before this week’s SmackDown.
Did Cody Rhodes break no-profanity rule on Raw?
Cody Rhodes came out last night on Raw and took repeated jabs at The Rock. Moreover, he implemented the use of curse words, or more precisely, language that is usually not allowed on WWE programming. This promo also shed light on rumors that circulated online a few days ago where talent were allegedly upset over The Brahma Bull breaking the rule.
According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, The American Nightmare was allowed to break the rule. Many backstage felt that Rhodes needed to fight back against Rock’s personal remarks and insults.
Furthermore, WWE didn’t want him to come off badly in his reply after Rocky’s concert on SmackDown. Therefore, it looks as if it was a one-time pass by backstage officials. Only time will tell what happens with this rule when WWE Monday Night Raw moves to Netflix in 2025.
