Sheamus beating up Gunther on WWE Smackdown
In a never ending saga, The Brawling Brutes were set to challenge The Imperium in a high stakes Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook Match tonight at Extreme Rules. The two teams have brought their A-game in recent weeks trying to get the better of each other’s counterparts.
It all started when The Ring General reassembled his boys Kaiser and Vinci and formulated The Imperium back at WWE Clash at the Castle. Since then, these men are just eager to maximize the damage and assert their dominance. During their previous meeting, The Imperium emerged victorious on Smackdown after Clash at the Castle.
Tonight in front of a sold-out Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia had a pretty different vibe as these men opened the show with all the props being at ringside. From the opening bell this bout was an absolute melee as it wasn’t just a normal 6-man Tag match. In the opening half, Imperium dominated the fray playing numbers game over Holland and Butch as Sheamus got dumped at ringside by Gunther early on.
The striking during this match was loud and clear and as we went deeper, they further intensified. Red chest and bloody welts were an embodiment of the same. Sheamus got up and reassessed himself giving birth to a second wind inside him. The crowd was going bonkers for The Celtic Warrior and he threw Gunther through the commentary table thus counting him out of the contest.
The ending moments of the match saw both Holland and Butch holding Giovanni Vinci for an undeniable Brogue Kick courtesy of The Fella. As expected, Sheamus executed a picture-perfect Brogue through Vinci to pick up the win for Brawling Brutes.

The jam packed crowd in Philadelphia wouldn’t have been more prouder of these men for putting up such a clinic as the opening match.
