Former WWE writer recalls Triple H dropping an F-bomb backstage over The Rock calling CM Punk on Raw
Triple H had quite an amusing reaction to The Rock calling CM Punk on an episode of Monday Night Raw in 2017.

Triple H was shocked at The Rock calling CM Punk live on RAW
In an extremely rare occurrence, The Rock pulled up to a taping of WWE RAW in 2017, which wasn’t aired. Dwayne was there with his production crew to shoot some angles for the “Fighting with My Family” movie. Since he was at the Crypto.com arena in Los Angeles, The Rock decided to interact with his WWE family after the show. He cut an engaging promo before the CM Punk chants hijacked his address.
Therefore, he decided to call Punk on the spot. However, Phil didn’t answer the phone. Once the clip made the rounds on the internet, everyone started wondering how Punk’s name even got mentioned inside a WWE arena. Also, The Great One did put backstage entities in an unenviable position, with Triple H being one of them. Brian Gewirtz, the SVP of Rock’s Seven Bucks Productions, recently revealed how The Game reacted to that mess.
Speaking on The Masked Man Show, Brian revealed that The Rock almost got himself in a position where his mic would’ve been cut off at any moment. Then, he went on to say that Triple H turned to his face and said, “Someone wanna remind him we’re in a f***** lawsuit with this guy!”
The former WWE writer also revealed that Rock didn’t do anything on purpose. In fact, he wasn’t aware of the ongoing legal disputes between WWE and CM Punk. Gewirtz confirmed that The Game wasn’t angry at all. However, it was just an oblivious moment for everyone out there.
Probably, Vince McMahon would’ve reacted much differently, but The King of Kings didn’t lose his composure. The situation might’ve gotten interesting if Punk had answered the call.
The Rock won’t return to WWE during the SAG-AFTRA strike

Of course, Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock is one of the highest-paid Hollywood actors of all time. His projects have only increased over the years as he has had to completely step away from WWE. However, the recently commenced SAG-AFTRA writers strike has put almost every major film production on hold. Nobody’s aware of how long the strike will last.
However, it lit a candle of hope inside every WWE fan to manifest for a potential return of The Rock to WWE. Despite the movies being on hold, there’s a specific reason why Rock may not return to WWE in the meantime. As revealed by Brian Gewirtz in the aforementioned interview, it’s all about the public image.
For someone as reputable as The Rock, John Cena, or even Dave Bautista to appear on an entertainment program like WWE while the strike is going on is just a bad look. Brian also said that he’d be shocked to see The People’s Champ crawl back to the Stamford-based promotion until the strike ends.
Moreover, the Seven Bucks Productions SVP relayed that he’d be more shocked if The Rock never got back into a WWE ring. “I would be shocked if The Rock appeared anytime soon while the strike is going on, but I would be equally, if not more shocked if The Rock never appeared in a WWE ring again,” said Brian.
