Amidst the fair share of criticism, Brock Lesnar and Omos finally met for their gigantic showdown tonight at WrestleMania. Back until the Elimination Chamber this year, it seemed like Lesnar was set to continue his rivalry against Bobby Lashley. That would’ve led to another match between the two behemoths at the Showcase of the Immortals. However, following a DQ loss in Montreal, The Beast’s status for Mania became a topic of hot conversation. But, WWE didn’t let their fans bother for long as they presented Omos as the WrestleMania challenger for Lesnar.

It was later confirmed that Vince McMahon was the mastermind behind making this happen. This came after The Beast Incarnate turned down a match against Bray Wyatt. Coming to their match tonight in the City of Angels, it kicked-off the show. Right from the opening bell, Omos kept his authority and overpowered the Alpha Male of our Species like nothing. The Nigerian Giant delivered some casual body slams followed by Bearhugs.

Lesnar almost succumbed to a massive Choke Slam when he kicked-out at the last possible second. However, after Lesnar drove Omos face first into the ring post, tables turned quickly. For the first time ever, the Canadian wrestler landed German Suplexes on the Colossus. And then, when Brock Lesnar astonishingly lifted Omos on his shoulders for F-5 on the 2nd attempt, it was over for the 400+ pounder. The entire SoFi stadium came to their feets to witness a once in a lifetime sight. The 10-time World Champion earned the much-needed win for himself at the Grandest Stage of them all.

There were some looming fears of Brock Lesnar preparing to finish up with WWE after his current run. It was believed that Lesnar’s contract is up mid-April. However, those rumors are somewhat premature and it doesn’t seem like The Beast is retiring anytime soon. In fact, after his victory tonight at WrestleMania, he can sign another contract with WWE which can then serve as his final hurrah in the company.
