The WWE Universe didn’t expect Brock Lesnar to be seen in the WWE until next year, but The Beast incarnate displayed his dominance recently. Recently, Lesnar was involved in a brief feud with Bobby Lashley, and the two had set the stage for a singles match at the Crown Jewel. Even the though Lesnar and Lashley put on a good fight, the match received negative reviews due to its abrupt ending. After the match, Bobby Lashley put Brock Lesnar in extreme pain through the Hurt Lock, thereby cementing his heel turn.
Brock Lesnar hasn’t appeared on RAW or SmackDown since the Crown Jewel. The ending of the match seemed to indicate that there is some unfinished business left between the two and that the rivalry may not have ended. Meanwhile, Bobby Lashley has set his sights on the United States Championship, which indicates that Lesnar won’t be returning to the company anytime soon, at least not this year. We don’t know whether Brock Lesnar will resume his rivalry with Lashley after he returns; only time will tell.
Stone Cold Steve Austin is rumored to be gearing up for his return to WWE next year for a match at WrestleMania. Something is undoubtedly brewing for Steve Austin, claims Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He said that the match between Brock Lesnar and Steve Austin at WrestleMania 39 will be successful commercially and that the match will work out because the two have great respect for each other.
“Austin vs. Lesnar would be gigantic business wise but I’d be more trepidatious on that one, but it’s not like the two of them don’t have great respect for each other.”

Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Brock Lesnar was about to happen in 2002
The match between Steve Austin and Brock Lesnar was about to take place in 2002 at the King of the Ring PPV, but it never happened. The WWE had booked Brock Lesnar to win at the event and establish Lesnar as the Monster Heel. However, Steve Austin refused to put Lesnar over him as it would make him look weak, and the build-up to it wasn’t a strong one. Thereafter, Steve Austin retired in 2003, wrestling his last match against The Rock at WrestleMania 19.
Even though the two weren’t involved in a match with each other, they were involved in a brawl against each other in 2004. This was days before Lesnar’s match against Goldberg at WrestleMania 20. Austin made an appearance on SmackDown to reclaim his stolen ATV from Brock Lesnar, and the two fought at ringside, with Steve Austin coming out on top.

Austin appeared as a special guest referee at WrestleMania 20. The match was won by Goldberg, and Steve Austin managed to deliver a stunner to both wrestlers, which was followed by a beer bash. Given how well Austin performed against Kevin Owens this year, we anticipate that, should it take place, the bout between Lesnar and Austin will also be excellent.
