WWE legend Bubba Ray comes in defense of fellow wrestling veteran after he faced severe criticism for predicting someone dying in AEW ring

Dudley Boyz are one of the greatest tag teams to have stepped into the squared circle. One half of the legendary tag team, Bubba Ray Dudley, has a great online presence. With wrestling experience spanning nearly three decades, he actively participates in current wrestling talks. Dudley, aka Bully Ray, has taken on X to defend another wrestling veteran who is getting criticized for his logical AEW remarks.
Former WWE star Al Snow had talks with Vince Russo and put forward a bold statement. Snow claimed that he guaranteed a death would happen inside the AEW ring. The point was brought to the discussion after the panel watched several videos of AEW’s intense injury-proven moments. However, troll tweets on X criticized him quickly and generalized him into the corny old wrestler category.

Bully Ray (Bubba) has come to the rescue of the wrestling veteran and supported him in his concerns. He wrote that veterans thinking about youngsters’ safety is neither corny nor bitter. Ray stated that taking higher, uncalculated risks is regression and not evolution in wrestling. He concluded by saying that those trolls know nothing at all and still behave like they know it all.

Snow and Russo watched a few clips of the moments when AEW wrestlers risked it all and performed their moves. First up was Will Ospreay‘s moment with Konosuke Takeshita when he landed back first on the turnbuckle. Next up was Roderick Strong‘s devastating backbreaker on Orange Cassidy at AEW Revolution 2024. The reviews from the veterans landed in disagreement on AEW’s approach to wrestling.
The current injuries in AEW
Jeff Hardy suffered a broken nose and was rocked hard on Sammy Guevera‘s Shooting Star Press. On the AEW Rampage filming, the incident happened and has taken Hardy away from AEW programming. Guevera has suffered the consequences by getting suspended until further notice.
Darby Allin‘s leap of faith was met with blood stains over his back that came with glass that pierced him. It could have been a long night and a final match for Allin on the exact night of Sting‘s final match. The injury was not something that stopped him from performing, as he continued to fight later on.
However, Allin suffered from a distinct injury on last week’s Dynamite episode. His match with Jay White saw a spot where Darby landed awkwardly after attempting a front flip to the outside. At that moment, Allin broke his left foot and needed time to heal, which cancelled his plans for Mt. Everest.
