No WWE fan could ever forget what Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso did at the Fastlane 2023 post-show presser. They turned up inebriated and changed the entire ambiance. Many people even thought that it was the most fun-inducing press conference to ever happen in pro wrestling. However, the only part that is hurting their presentation as a duo is the finishing maneuver they use, per a WWE legend.

According to Bully Ray on the Busted Open Radio, the bootleg 1-D move that Rhodes and Uso have been using of late is not paying off well. Bully’s not wrong with his assessment, as Cody recently buckled his neck while executing the finisher on Monday Night Raw. The one half of The Dudley Boyz affirmed that it’s a bad look whenever a move doesn’t go smoothly on television.

Cody and Jey need to stop doing that bootleg 1D. It has not gone well for them once … it’s not a little off, it’s always off. When a move goes wrong, it looks bad for the people doing the offensive move, because it makes you look like you don’t know how to do your own move.

The modified version of the 1-D that Cody and Jey use is an homage to Dudley Boyz’s legendary 3-D finisher. Though it looks cool on camera, Cody Rhodes eventually gets the worst of it. He puts his neck on the line while catching a superstar for the Cody Cutter. It needs to be seen whether the dynamic duo continues to perform the move or if they come up with something else.

Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso lost a massive title match on this week’s Raw

This week on Monday Night Raw, Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso vied for the gold. They challenged Finn Balor and Damian Priest for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team titles. Just when the babyfaces seemed under control and were looking good to regain the titles, a betrayal cost them dearly.

During the ending moments, Drew McIntyre appeared out of nowhere to rattle Jey Uso with a Claymore kick. The Scottish Warrior took out his frustrations on the former Bloodline member. As a result, Rhodes and Uso lost the match. McIntyre then shook hands with Rhea Ripley, confirming his alliance with The Judgment Day.

After the show went off-air, Cody Rhodes dropped a massive teaser about what’s to come shortly. He said that he too got friends, and the crowd started chanting Randy Orton’s name. It’s pretty obvious at this point that The Viper might soon join forces with The American Nightmare.

Randy Orton will possibly make his return and join forces with the face team to be the fifth member of the Men’s Survivor Series WarGames match. On the other hand, Drew McIntyre will likely join The Judgment Day in the match. It will be interesting to see how things shape up ahead of the Survivor Series.
