Cardi B is one of the most well-known female rappers in the world. The $80 million-worth singer has mentioned how she is a big fan of the WWE. Also, Cardi referred to the likes of Eddie Guerrero, Lita, and Edge as a few of her favorites during the Ruthless Aggression Era. Recently, she revealed her aspirations for a grand entrance at sports entertainment’s biggest spectacle, WrestleMania 40.
During an appearance on Hot Ones, Cardi B revealed that she would prefer entering the ring similar to Melina. She said, “Very skimpy (outfit for WrestleMania), but I feel like my entrance would have to be grand. Like, what’s her name? Melina? Do you remember her? She used to walk in with two guys, and then she would do a whole split on the ropes. She would enter on a split. I have to enter grand like that. She was just cr*zy.”
As many might know, Melina was a part of the group MNM, which consisted of her, Joey Mercury, and Johnny Nitro (better known as John Morrison). Their entrances involved walking down a red carpet, accompanied by papparazi. Therefore, it would be fitting for Cardi B to walk out similarly, given her sheer star power in the music industry.
Furthermore, the 30-year-old rapper talked about name-dropping Jimmy Snuka in her 2022 song, “Hot Sh*t”. According to Cardi, she wanted to reference Triple H in the song. However, it didn’t rhyme with the intended lyrics and instead stuck with the legendary high-flyer.

Melina competed in the WWE for the majority of the Ruthless Aggression Era. Moreover, her walkout style was one of the most prominent features of her persona. Therefore, when $80 million rapper Cardi B revealed her spectacular plan to enter similarly to Melina, the latter was more than pleased.

The three-time Women’s Champion reacted to the artist referencing her during an appearance on Hot Ones. She wrote on her X account, “Thank you for sharing this! Her music has been a part of my life’s journey so to hear I’m a part of her wrestling memories, means SO much. What a beautiful circle we share in life.”
Needless to say, the 44-year-old welcomed the idea of Cardi B using her entrance at WrestleMania 40. During her stint in the company, she captured the Divas and Women’s titles on five occasions. Melina last appeared during the 2022 edition of the Royal Rumble bout, where she entered at #2 before being eliminated by Sasha Banks.
