Just when the LWO was dragged to deep waters by Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits, Carlito returned to even the odds.

The highly anticipated showdown between the LWO and Bobby Lashley, The Street Profits started with a 2-on-3 disadvantage for Rey Mysterio’s side. That was enough to put their backs against the wall. Although Rey did try to gain some momentum early on, he wasn’t able to break the deadlock.
To aid her boys, Zelina Vega too made her presence count. She executed a picturesque Hurricanrana on a cocky Montez Ford at ringside. However, Rey Mysterio was getting manhandled and time was running out for the Latino World Order. It was then that the WWE Universe witnessed the return of Carlito.
Although he didn’t retain his original intro theme, The Caribbean Cool got a massive pop. It was pandemonium inside the Gainbridge Fieldhouse as Carlito got into his zone. He didn’t break a sweat and kept launching maneuvers at Bobby Lashley and The Profits. In the end, he planted Montez Ford with a backstabber to pick up the win.
Neither Bobby Lashley nor his associates were able to weather the Carlito storm. For the books, this was Carlito’s first WWE match since wrestling on Raw after Royal Rumble back in 2021. He’s reportedly signed to WWE and will appear as part of the SmackDown brand moving forward.
Carlito caught up with John Cena at Fastlane
Overall, given that Fastlane is now over, one can firmly agree that it was a typical ‘B-level’ premium-live event. Barring a few special moments, Fastlane wasn’t the greatest show WWE has produced this year. However, one of the biggest highlights of the night was Carlito’s return.
He genuinely seems rebooted and ready for his latest run with the Stamford-based promotion. Apart from having a memorable comeback, the 44-year-old veteran met his enemy-turned-friend John Cena backstage. WWE has posted an image of the same on its official X handle.
After all, it was only Carlito who beat John Cena on his debut night in WWE to become the new United States Champion. Years later, they’ve grown into respected figures in this industry. It will be interesting to see how WWE utilizes The Caribbean Cool this time around.
