Carmella is one of the top-rated divas in the WWE women’s division today. The winner of the inaugural Women’s Money in The Bank match has certainly made it big in the company. Carmella was initially introduced as a manager and sidekick but the way she has worked on her in-ring skills has taken her to the spot where she is right now.
She has also won The SmackDown’s Women Championship asserting that she can be a top star any day. Though, the news related to her is not as positive as her persona in the ring. According to reports, Carmella has been legitimately injured at a live WWE event recently.At a recent WWE Live Event held at North Charleston, South Carolina, Carmella was involved in a triple threat match where Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair put her title on the line against her and Asuka.

During the match, Carmella rolled out of the ring as a heel would normally do as Asuka and Belair in the ring would start doing the Chicken Dance to mock her. It was all smooth till here until the referee showed a big X sign indicating that there has been an injury. The X sign in professional wrestling signifies a legitimate injury to a superstar and immediate medical attention needs to be provided to him or her. After the referee showed the X sign the match would be cut short as Belair would be quick to capitalize on the situation and pin Asuka for the win.
However, the seriousness of the injury is still not known but Carmella was seen walking backstage on her own with the support of a couple of officials which indicates a good sign for now. But for more insight details are awaited as WWE hasn’t made any official announcement yet. The X sign was raised after a botched spot which Bianca delivered to Carmella around the corner.
However, a tweet from Carmell’s husband Corey Graves left fans in splits. Corey had tweeted- “Love learning that my f****** wife got injured”. the color commentator and former wrestler were quick to delete the tweet but a Reddit user was quick enough to take a screenshot of the tweet. Now it needs to be seen how severe the injury is and how much time she takes to recover.
