Over the past few years, John Cena has dedicated his WWE appearances to elevate rising stars. The most recent example came during a rare appearance on NXT, where he endorsed Carmelo Hayes. A few days after arguably the biggest night of his career till now, the bright talent shared an uncanny comparison of both wrestlers’ careers.

Carmelo Hayes posted two photos of moments that resemble John Cena’s career. The first picture shows the former NXT Champion cutting a promo prior to his debut match. Interestingly, this is similar to the Cenation Leader’s debut, where he arrived from OVW and uttered the words “Ruthless Aggression” prior to facing Kurt Angle.

The other side-by-side comparison involves The Undertaker endorsing both men in the initial stages of their careers. “Long term storytelling,” wrote Hayes on his X account. Evidently, he was eluding the coincidences as part of his journey to the top. Needless to say, Carmelo Hayes is destined to be a top star in the industry and a future World Champion.

Also, it seems that the 29-year-old isn’t far away from his debut. After all, there is not much left for him to accomplish on the Gold brand. Of course, it’s too early to believe that Carmelo Hayes’ career will end up on the same level as John Cena’s. But he will most probably impress once he arrives on the main roster.

John Cena acknowledges Roman Reigns on SmackDown

Roman Reigns made his return on SmackDown after being on hiatus for the past couple of months. The Tribal Chief interrupted John Cena, who kicked off the show. As a result, both men came face-to-face for the first time since their 2021 SummerSlam match.

While it seemed that Cena was going to challenge the Tribal Chief for the title, the former surprised the fans by acknowledging him. According to the Cenation Leader, Roman Reigns’ championship reign is the greatest of all time. Despite not deeming himself worthy of a title shot, John Cena would go on to introduce a superstar who was LA Knight.

Previously, the sixteen-time World Champion claimed that Roman Reigns is the greatest of all time from his perspective. Evidently, the Franchise Player has the utmost respect for the Head of the Table. It will be interesting to see how things play out between the pair during the buildup to Crown Jewel.
