The highly anticipated face-off between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes closed the show on SmackDown. Both men took a lot of shots at each other en route to their WrestleMania rematch. What caught the attention of the WWE Universe watching at home were some incendiary words from a female fan for The Tribal Chief.

The American Nightmare offered a handshake to Roman Reigns, which he rejected and ended up leaving the ring. On Reigns’ way back to the locker room, a fan lashed out at him. Following her comments, the WWE production team immediately cut the audio to censor the lady’s vulgar yet hilarious choice of words.

A fan to Roman Reigns during SmackDown

During their promo battle, the longest-reigning Undisputed Champion called The Undeniable One an “idiot.” The 38-year-old Superstar asked how the former EVP of AEW could allow Seth “Freakin” Rollins to be his “shield.” The Head of the Table questioned the alliance of the man who stabbed him on his back once in the past. Surprisingly, Rhodes questioned The Rock‘s loyalty to his WrestleMania opponent in return.

Despite vowing to come alone, The Bloodline leader brought Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso to seemingly attack Cody Rhodes. In response, Jey Uso and The Visionary appeared from the crowd as well to aid the 2023 and 2024 Royal Rumble winner. Both Reigns and Rhodes will be double main-eventing WrestleMania XL. Fans are eager to find out whether Dusty Rhodes‘ son finally finishes the story or not.

Roman Reigns teases potential showdown with CM Punk in the future

Before this week’s SmackDown, Roman Reigns brought his greatness to The Pat McAfee Show. Reigns took a lot of shots at Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, claiming the duo’s got no chance to emerge victorious at WrestleMania 40. What surprised the fans in attendance was The Needle Mover’s mention of CM Punk all of a sudden.

Throughout his run as The Tribal Chief, Reigns has always been full of confidence. Reigns stated that there is still a lot for him to do in professional wrestling. Moreover, he expressed not being shocked upon being on the top of the mountain. The 4-time WWE Champion stated that unlike the Best in the World, he is never amused upon succeeding and never “b*tches” about it either.

Considering the history between the two, it cannot be denied that their feud is bound to happen. The Head of the Table and The Voice of the Voiceless can easily generate big money in their rivalry. In addition to that, the Punk name-dropped Reigns upon his return. Only time will tell if the Stamford-based company indeed has plans for these two big names to lock horns in the future.
