Chad Gable finally breaks silence after devastating loss on Raw against Gunther that made her daughter cry

Gunther made history this past Monday night on RAW. He defeated Chad Gable in an intense battle to retain his Intercontinental Championship. However, his opponent was disappointed with himself. Gable did not appreciate the loss, which left his family in attendance heartbroken for him.

In an exclusive backstage interview with WWE, the Alpha Academy member shared his thoughts on coming close to victory. First and foremost, he mentioned how amateur wrestling had always taught him about similar situations. Moreover, Chad expressed displeasure due to the biggest moment of his career slipping through his fingers on RAW.

“I learned to persevere, like find my way through it and realize that that’s not the end. I promise you, in this situation, it’s the same thing,” stated the former tag team champion. Chad Gable addressed his daughter crying due to his loss. According to him, the fun stuff with his character stops during moments such as this. Furthermore, the 37-year-old vowed that he would continue his hunt for the Intercontinental title.

“I want him to keep it as long as it freaking takes for me to get a rematch. Because I’m coming back for it, and I swear to God, I’m winning that championship,” promised Gable. The formerly known Shorty-G is not done with his pursuit. Despite failing twice to capture the gold, it seems that the rivalry between Gunther and Chad Gable will continue. Therefore, fans can expect a fourth match soon between two of the best superstars in the WWE.

Gunther gloats after breaking a prestigious record on RAW

The main event of this week’s RAW was a banger. Gunther battled Chad Gable in the third match of their trilogy and emerged victorious. As a result, he has cleared his path to become the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion, breaking the Honky Tonk Man’s previous record. Afterward, the Imperium leader sent a message backstage while celebrating the moment.

Gunther claimed that it did not surprise him. He said that when he won the title for the first time, he knew he would end up making history. Furthermore, the Ring General berated the fans who believed he couldn’t make it. As a result, he called out the likes of Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Honky Tonk Man, Stone Cold, and The Rock.

“The reality is, when that bell rings, they all can come line up and lace my boots. Because as long as I’m alive, there’s no man born yet to take this title off me again!” stated the former NXT superstar. It is hard for anyone to argue that Gunther is the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time, as proven by his work over the last year.
