Smackdown Women's Champion, Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair is one of the biggest names on the WWE roster today. She has been with the company for over a decade and is the most successful woman in the history of the company. She is currently in her 13th reign as the WWE World Champion, holding the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

2022 has been a busy year for The Queen as she has been involved in a massive feud against Ronda Rousey. The rivalry between them kicked off at Royal Rumble – when Rousey won the match and announced that she will be going after Flair for the title. The first match in this pursuit involved a Tag Team bout at the Elimination Chamber.

While Naomi teamed up with the Baddest Woman on the Planet, Sonya Deville joined the Smackdown Women’s Champion’s side. Naomi and Rousey won the match. The next collision took place at Wrestlemania 38, where Charlotte Flair managed to retain the title in the co-main event of Wrestlemania Saturday.

While the feud between them for the Smackdown Women’s title is far from over, fans got to see a fairly new opponent in action against Charlotte Flair. One of the newer faces on the roster, Aliyah, challenged Flair for the title during the latest WWE Sunday Stunner live event in Syracuse.

The Queen managed to retain the title – but she walked out with some bruises from the battle. During one point in the match, Flair got kicked in the face – busting her open. Although bleeding, Flair continued with the match. Several fans shot video of the moment, which you can checkout below:

In the co-main event of Wrestlemania 38, The Baddest Woman on the Planet managed to make Charlotte Flair tap out. But the referee didn’t really notice it and later Flair managed to retain the title. But the controversial finish has ensured that this rivalry is far from over.

The rematch for the Smackdown Women’s Championship is set to take place at Wrestlemania Backlash. But this time, we can expect a far more brutal brawl – as an interesting stipulation has been added to the match. Ronda Rousey will be colliding against Charlotte Flair for the title in an I Quit match.
