It is known that Charlotte Flair had taken time off from wrestling as she had to marry her long-time boyfriend, Andrade El Idolo. The two had been dating since 2019 and got married in Mexico on May 27. Flair’s father, Ric Flair, has now spoken about Flair’s break in 2022. During a recent appearance on Corey Graves’ After the Bell Podcast, Ric Flair said that he is very happy for his daughter and that she deserved a rest after her grueling work schedule.

He said that losing to Ronda Rousey at the WrestleMania Backlash was a good opportunity for her to get away. The WWE Hall of Famer said that Flair and Andrade brought a new home and spent quality time together. He said that, but after a point, Flair began missing WWE as she wouldn’t stay away from it for a long time.

“I’m so happy for her, and they’re very, very happy, and you know what happened? It happened at a time where she could take a break……She and Manny (Andrade) had an opportunity to spend a lot of time together. They bought a new home. I mean, it’s really been good for them, but at the same time, I know how bad she wanted to get back into it.”

There have been speculations that WWE is looking to fix Charlotte Flair vs. Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 39. The match is highly anticipated, and both women haven’t fought each other on a big stage. She is the only horsewoman that Belair hasn’t fought at a PLE until now. On the October 18th, 2021 episode of RAW, the two women squared off. Belair competed for the RAW Women’s Championship and won the bout via DQ.
