Charlotte Flair pinned Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 38

The Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey saga has been one of the most fierce and action packed storyline in WWE currently. The feud began back on SmackDown after Royal Rumble 2022 when the Women’s Royal Rumble match winner, Ronda Rousey, chose Charlotte Flair as her opponent for the 38th edition of the Grandest Stage of them All.

Flair and Rousey battled each other at WrestleMania 38 but the controversial finish to the match brought people wanting a rematch between the two. Flair had defeated Rousey to retain the SmackDown Women’s Championship after the referee missed seeing Flair tap out and then pinned Rousey.

Ronda Rousey then demanded a rematch for the SmackDown Women’s Championship which she deserved and WWE had to give it to her according to her terms. The Baddest Women on the Planet demanded an ‘I Quit Match’ against Flair at WrestleMania Backlash and the match was made official by the company.

Ronda Rousey had defeated Charlotte Flair in a Beat the Clock challenge last week on Friday Night SmackDown after the Queen wasn’t able to make Aliyah spell out ‘I quit’ while Rousey was able to do that with Shotzi. This brought rage in the Smackdown Women’s Champion and so she kicked off this Week’s show with Aliyah face to face.

Flair vowed to give a preview of Backlash to everyone and so she attacked Aliyah. Ronda Rousey then came out when a brawl between the two women broke out which forced the security to come out and stop them. The two women will now face each other at WrestleMania Backlash with the SmackDown Women’s Championship on the line.
