“Cena is the ultimate good guy”; When Charlotte Flair revealed that she wanted to become the female John Cena

Charlotte Flair and John Cena
Charlotte Flair is one of the supreme women of the wrestling industry and has proved to be one of the most immensely popular and talented superstars among the current peers in the WWE roster. The SmackDown Women’s Champion has attained a lot of accomplishments throughout her run in the company and has come out to be a top superstar just like her father Ric Flair. But the Queen isn’t done yet.
A few years ago, Flair revealed that she was obsessed with what the Hollywood megastar, John Cena had achieved and always wanted to be portrayed like him but she was a heel which stopped her from getting to that landmark. Flair also added that she wanted to be the female John Cena and wanted to bring a new era in the women’s wrestling industry. Here’s what she said:
“First, I want to say there will never be another John Cena. He has meant that much to the industry. But I do know when I first started, and to this day, that is who I want to mold myself after and be like. Unfortunately, I am a bad guy on camera, and Cena is the ultimate good guy. But I never lose that density or passion of wanting to embody WWE, wanting to do as much on the outside, for instance, media and the Special Olympics.”
“There’s so many community events that we take part in. I hope to be mentioned in the same sentence as him. He’s John Cena. I’m a talent in the same company as him. Not even a peer but as a co-worker, and I still say it like that. He’s John Cena. Yes, I want to be the female John Cena. And if people say that, then I’m going to continue, even if I don’t feel like I’ve gotten there yet, but I’m going to continue to work as hard and feel that I want to be that way with everything I do.”
Charlotte Flair could be the John Cena of the women’s wrestling industry
One of the biggest highlights of John Cena’s career is that he is a former 16-time world champion which makes him one of the all-time greats. While Charlotte Flair has also won the women’s championships more than 10 times and in fact is the only women in the industry to do so which makes her alike John Cena.
