“If that’s your boy, F**K you” Paul Heyman lashes out on a Chris Benoit fan while presenting his take on the tragedy

Chris Benoit, a name that WWE has tried to erase from its history but has been unable to do so as the wrestler’s fans still argue that his In-Ring accomplishments can never be ignored. Benoit’s death remains one of the most discussed mysteries in the wrestling world. A gifted wrestler who was in the pursuit to become one of the greatest wrestlers of all time not only commits suicide but also mercilessly kills his wife and a seven-year-old boy.
Benoit’s case sent a huge shockwave throughout the industry as everyone was not only shocked but in an utter state of disbelief at what Benoit had committed. But there’s a lobby of fans that still believes that Benoit shouldn’t be boycotted from the wrestling world owing to his exceptional contributions to the industry. A similar fan recently had an altercation with none other than Paul Heyman.

While interacting at a live event for Inside The Ropes, a fan interrupted Heyman’s speech in which he was telling how he became Brock Lesnar’s advocate. It was revealed that Heyman was actually about to manage Chris Benoit originally rather than Lesnar. While Heyman was speaking a voice from the crowd shouted- “My Boy”, which Heyman immediately noticed. Heyman first tried to ignore but after repeated interruptions, Heyman decided to give the fan a dose of bitter truth.
Heyman said that one can admire Benoit for all his work, but he would like to give his take on him. Heyman said- “I don’t care about CTE, 3 people died in that house and only one had the choice”. Heyman was referring to the post-mortem report of Benoit which had revealed that he was suffering from CTE i.e. Chronic traumatic encephalopathy. But Heyman was quick to add that only Benoit had the choice that day and he chose death over everything else. Heyman continued to say- “If that’s your boy, F**k you”.
Heyman would then present the other side of the argument and then say that as a performer he was one of the greatest of all time Heyman had ever met. He revealed that he had big plans for Chris Benoit during his ECW run as Heyman had planned to make him the World Heavyweight Champion and put him in a feud with Eddie Guerrero that would’ve taken ECW forward as a promotion. But unfortunately, before it could happen the company was sold off. Heyman would then close his argument by saying- “As a talent- Remarkable but as a human being ‘F**K him’. “
