Chris Jericho has spent almost 30 years with the WWE. The holder of 34 titles, Chris has headlined multiple WWE Premium Live Events (then Pay Per View Events). He has met every possible person he could at the show. The 51 year old is currently signed to AEW after  retiring from WWE in 2018.

Vince McMahon has spent a majority of his life dedicated to WWE.  From being a player to taking the responsibility of the company on his shoulders, Vince has come a long way. All his achievements were put to halt when he got involved in various scandals in and outside the company. This made him retire from the post of CEO of the company.

Since Vince’s retirement, a lot of new things have popped up about the ex-CEO by superstars of the company. Recently Chris Jericho was also added to the list of these superstars. On the episode of Inside The Ropes, Jericho recalled an incident involving Vince McMahon. The incident was so irritating that he was at the verge of saying the m-word to him.

The incident went back to 2001 during the WrestleMania 18 rehearsal. Jericho had to defend his then existing WWF Championship against Triple H. Jericho was the undisputed Champion back then. During the rehearsal as well, Vince wanted the fight to look real. Whereas, Jericho couldn’t do it since there was no audience. According to Jericho, “The crowd is where you get the vibe and the adrenaline, and your whole energy comes from that.”

Vince wanted him to sledgehammer Triple H harder and Jericho was looking for the moment he got by the audience. Vince then told him, “Oh you don’t wanna do it? What are you on the rag or something?” This angered Chris Jericho and he thought, “You big-eared, big nose motherf*cker. I’m going to punch you right in your stupid face right now. Knock that toupee right off his head.”

Vince was very particular about the working of the artists involved in the company. Jericho’s incident is a clear example of the same. Since his retirement, things have not been the same. We saw the changes introduced among the WWE commentators from the first day post McMahon’s retirement.
