Chris Masters hints a possible WWE return next year with a Big Opportunity on the line

One name that got quite popular during The Ruthless Aggression Era was Chris Masters. Masters got popular after introducing The Master Lock Challenge which he used to keep on Monday Night RAW and challenged the wrestlers to lock them in The Master Lock, which was basically a type of shoulder lock.

Masters said that he would reward the person who would break his lock. For weeks, Chris Masters continued his streak as he laid out several wrestlers with his Masters Lock. Finally on an episode of Monday Night RAW, The Dominator Bobby Lashley became the first person to break the Master Lock and win the challenge.

Chris Masters wants to return to WWE at Royal Rumble 2023

Chris Masters had dominated the RAW roster back in 2006, as he issued The Master Lock Challenge.

Chris Masters had a huge influence on the WWE Universe as fans still remember the Master Lock Challenge segments and wouldn’t mind seeing Masters back in WWE. As the return season is at its all time high and many wrestlers are making a comeback under the new regime.

Thus, a fan who came to attend the October 14th episode of SmackDown believed that his prayers would be answered as he went with a sign board to request a return for Chris Masters. The signboard had written – “Bring Chris Masters Back”.

Sharing the picture of the sign board Masters wrote on Twitter– ” 2023 Royal Rumble, I mean it’s been 12 freaking years”, this hinting towards a return to the company next year. Masters should’ve analysed the fact that Triple H is bringing back wrestlers so he can expect to get back to the company.

Royal Rumble Match is an exciting event in which many unexpected returns take place since one never knows who would show up for winning a ticket to WrestleMania. Chris Masters could have a big opportunity waiting for him if he really returns to Royal Rumble 2023.

But this isn’t the first time when Masters has teased a return to the company. He had also said to return to the company at the time of Royal Rumble 2022 but that didn’t happen.

Thus, it will be interesting to see if he really returns this time or not. He is currently signed to NWA as Adonis and also performs on the independent circuit by the same name as well. His career never potentially could take off but a WWE return can surely help Masters to re-establish himself.
