After an intense rivalry, Cody Rhodes and Damian Priest delivered a spectacular match at Crown Jewel. During the start of the match, Priest began working on Cody’s ankle that got hurt on last week’s Raw. However, Rhodes kept going at his opponent, and they took matters outside of the ring. Damian reversed a Cross Rhodes to deliver the Reckoning on the commentary table.

It didn’t take long for his Judgment Day buddies to make the cut. Finn Balor, followed by JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio tried to outnumber Rhodes. But Jey Uso arrived out of nowhere to take out the goons. Back in the ring, The American Nightmare planted Priest with a couple of Cody Cutters; however, Damian kicked out.

Right at the end, it was a tussle over who could counter more. The 41-year-old his best to take Rhodes down. However, The Prodigal Son delivered a trifecta of Cross Rhodes to put The Archer of Infamy in his place. Shortly after this, Michael Cole reiterated that Rhodes is back on his path to finishing the story.

Earlier on, Sami Zayn eloped with Priest’s Money in the Bank briefcase just when The Judgment Day member was about to cash in on Seth Rollins. That’s why Damian came to his match without the one thing that he could use to his advantage. On the other hand, Cody had vengeance on his mind. It doesn’t appear like the beef between The Judgment Day and Cody Rhodes is over.

From the crowd reaction, it was evident that Cody was the prohibitive favorite heading into his match. The way he capsized a physically superior Damian Priest has left everyone impressed. There’s been an overflow of emotions on the social media and let’s take a look at few.
