After failing to finish the story last year, Cody Rhodes is looking to put an exclamation mark on his story. For over two years, The American Nightmare has been looking to dethrone Roman Reigns. Rhodes wants to be the champion who actually shows up and defends his coveted title. En route to the biggest WrestleMania rematch, The Prodigal Son stopped by and appeared at WWE World to tease a major change upcoming.
Cody Rhodes expressed his desire to change the Undisputed title’s design if he succeeds in ending Reigns’ reign of terror. However, not even a year has passed since Triple H debuted new versions of all the World Titles. Therefore, fans are eager to find out how The Undeniable One wants to alter the design of the championship if he overcomes the odds stacked against him.
The former AEW EVP fell short last year when Solo Sikoa interfered in the match. However, if Rhodes, along with his partner Seth Rollins, fails to defeat The Rock and Roman Reigns, the path will be much worse than WrestleMania 39. For those unaware, if Rock and his cousin win at WrestleMania on Saturday, then the rematch between The Dashing One and The Tribal Chief will be contested under Bloodline Rules.
The WWE Universe got a preview of the Bloodline Rules this week on Raw when The Enforcer took on The Visionary. Moreover, The Final Boss and the Head of the Table catastrophically bombarded their ‘Mania opponents to close the show. So, with mere days away from the pop-culture extravaganza, fans are amped to witness the ultimate spectacle amid the ongoing fiasco.
Cody Rhodes discloses what led to his recent WWE contract renewal despite not getting to finish the story
When Cody Rhodes returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38, he started feuding with his ‘Mania 40 partner, Seth Rollins. Following that, he set his sights on Roman Reigns, wanting to finish the story. Despite failing last year, the son of a plumber recently signed a multi-year contract with the Stamford-based promotion.
While speaking on the MMA Hour, the 38-year-old Superstar expressed his gratitude to Nick Khan and Triple H for putting him in a very prominent position. Not only that, the son of The American Dream stated that, despite not getting to finish the story, he is a very big star. Furthermore, he stated there was no reason for him to go back to AEW as he continues to enjoy being the face of the company.
The 2023 and 2024 Royal Rumble winner asserted that getting to be on the posters of PLEs and the 2K24 video game always leaves him elated. Fans are clearly behind Rhodes and want him to emerge victorious at WrestleMania XL. All in all, WWE’s biggest babyface has inked the dotted line to stay in the company for long and stay as the fan favorite guy.
