The WWE Superstars aspire to be in the place where Cody Rhodes is right now. However, Cody never got handed stuff. He’s been grinding for decades, and that determination is paying dividends in 2023. That being said, his journey hasn’t been smooth by any means. At the time, when he was still signed to AEW, Rhodes went through a cruel but true realization.

Because AEW hadn’t started doing live events back then, wrestlers had a limited schedule. While that may allure some, it wasn’t beneficial enough for The American Nightmare. Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, the Prodigal Son revealed where his head went wrong in AEW. According to Rhodes, he thought that not wrestling frequently would actually help grow his status.

However, calling it his own mistake, Cody Rhodes termed it a “backseat” in his wrestling journey. He now believes that the more you wrestle, the more productive you get in that squared circle. Moreover, the American Nightmare offered advice to his fellow and aspiring wrestlers.

Cody said it’s important to perform in front of live audiences, and that’s how one can increase their efficiency as a performer. “My biggest mistake was thinking I’ll stay as good as I am in the ring only wrestling twice, three times, maybe just once a month. [You] cannot learn how to work a live audience unless you perform in front of a live audience,” he said.

On this week’s Raw, Cody Rhodes vowed to end the chapter of his rivalry with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. With that being too close, fans have already started wondering what could be his next move. At this point, it’s purely speculation, but Bray Wyatt might enter the American Nightmare’s territory soon enough.

According to Boozer 666, Wyatt could probably return to The Biggest Part of the Summer. Moreover, he’s due to crash one of the three main events scheduled for the big night. Adding to the report, Xero News revealed that the former Eater of Worlds’ target would likely be Cody Rhodes. Both men could embark on a new journey with each other, supposedly full of cryptic segments on Monday Night Raw.

The majority of the fans aren’t thrilled about the rumored direction for Rhodes. Once again, it was relayed that Bray’s SummerSlam interference isn’t set in stone. However, he’s been visiting shows backstage to discuss his future plans. If they actually end up feuding with each other, the viewers are bound to split up for this one.
