The passion of collecting action figures is not limited to the WWE fans but has spread to the entire WWE Universe that includes the superstars themselves. Matt Cardona is one such personality. He is the host of the Major Wrestling Figures podcast and one can clearly see his love for the same. In one of the interviews, Cody Rhodes confessed what he feels about Cardona.
Cardona lives by the statement that Crumbs make crumb cake. “He spent $40,000 for a prototype of Rhythm & Blues Greg,” said Cody Rhodes. He feels it was an ungodly sum to be paid for an action figurine. In addition to that, Cody Rhodes also said, “You can’t have a drink at EPCOT? But you can pay for Rhythm & Blues Greg? Just a mess.”
This might indeed seem a very big amount for an action figure but for Cardona, the figure is his “holy grail”. The original Rhythm & Blues version of Greg “The Hammer” Valentine was never released in the stores across the world. He also claimed that there were only three pieces of the same in the entire world.
Cardona has been able to express his love for the figures through the podcast. He has a massive collection of the figures and he can spend any amount in adding one more to his collection. He has also turned his obsession of WWE figurines into a trade.
