Once again, Cody Rhodes proved why he’s for the people. Last night at a WWE live event in North Charleston, he defeated Drew McIntyre in a street fight. But after he got rid of The Scottish Warrior, Rhodes turned his attention to a young lad in attendance. The latter had a signboard that asked Cody to attend his 5th birthday party this year.
The American Nightmare read the 4-year-old’s naive want aloud. He had already made up his mind, but Rhodes toyed with the crowd for a bit. Cody asked everyone whether he should go or not. Then he even alluded to his cutthroat schedule, which may preclude his presence. However, as soon as he learned that the child’s birthday was on a Wednesday in June, Cody Rhodes agreed to the proposal.
His boisterous nod was relished by those who packed the arena. It was yet another act of philanthropy by WWE’s top babyface. Not to mention that he recently facilitated a gender reveal after Monday Night Raw went off the air. That came days after he agreed to be a groom’s best man at his wedding. The Prodigal Son had no business bestowing these out-of-the-box wishes, but he did.
No wonder why a vast majority of the fans hope to see Dusty Rhodes‘ youngest creation finish his story at WrestleMania XL. As he said upon his first Raw appearance in six years, a man often finds his destiny on the path he takes to avoid it. Despite donning such ethics, the 38-year-old has everything to lose if he doesn’t get the job done in Philadelphia. And The Rock is there to make sure Cody’s story ends tragically.
How did Cody Rhodes react to The Rock’s profanity-laden promo on him?
Speaking of The Great One, he has transgressed a territory Cody would despise. Over the past week, Dwayne Johnson has shrewdly targeted Rhodes’ mother, Michelle Rubio, in his promos. The Hollywood actor warned Mama Rhodes of her son’s devastating fate at WrestleMania.
The Rock has vowed to hand Rubio a weight belt draped with Cody’s blood while she is in the front row in due time. Reacting to The Final Boss’ disparaging address last Friday, Rhodes had a hilarious reaction. The latter competed in a dark match and then grabbed a microphone.
He asked the fans in attendance what happened during the first half of the show, as he had completely missed it. Everyone chuckled at the ex-AEW EVP’s way of combating the havoc Rock created to kick off the proceedings.
