Just hours before entering the Royal Rumble match, Cody Rhodes showed up on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The American Nightmare participated in a fun-inducing Phone Booth game. He joined the host of ‘I Can See Your Voice’, Ken Jeong. Before Rhodes came in, Jimmy explained the game rules. And it went like this: If either Ken Jeong or his phone booth counterpart, Dwyane Wade, fails to correctly answer a question, a stranger from the mystery bench will be shoved into their respective booths.
First, it was Dwyane’s turn. He hit a bullseye while answering his question. He knew that Michael Jordan stuck out his tongue every time he dunked. Meanwhile, Ken argued that Dwyane was handed a dolly. However, when he saw Cody Rhodes emanating from the back to join him in the booth, Jeong was elated. And when the latter was asked what a Snickers bar contains, he knew it.
And as a result, Wade had to welcome an anonymous guest into his booth this time around. However, when he saw it was none other than Teresa Guidice, it felt like a blessing in disguise. But he wasn’t able to decipher which animal’s nickname was Sea Cow. Guidice and Dwyane were then joined by professional snake handler Blaise Matthew and his python Henry.
When he got into the fabricated pod, it was very awkward for the ones already inside it. Ken and Cody got the next one wrong and were joined by three stressed-out cooks from The Bear. And finally, Dwyane Wade was asked what type of bean chickpeas are also known as. He didn’t know it, and as a result, everyone out there was shoved into his booth to close the game.
Is Cody Rhodes on the precipice of history at the Royal Rumble?
Cody Rhodes’ quest to finish his story begins tonight. He’ll battle 29 other men in a stacked men’s Royal Rumble field. At the moment, he’s down by a slender margin at the second spot in the betting odds. The man sitting above him is CM Punk.
The two men were engrossed in a resounding promo battle on Raw this week. Tensions were running high as they almost got into a brawl. However, there will be no one stopping the two at the Royal Rumble.
Cody has been hellbent on dethroning Roman Reigns ever since he squandered an opportunity to do so at WrestleMania 39. With some baggage on his shoulders, it would be interesting to see how Rhodes bounces back.
