Cody Rhodes is one of the prominent WWE Superstars of the current generation. He has been out of action due to a pectoral tear he suffered in June of this year. Despite being injured, Cody Rhodes delivered a splendid performance at the Hell in a Cell, which was lauded by wrestling legends and wrestling pundits all over the world. Cody’s return to WWE was a memorable one and was received very well by the WWE Universe, he also won the ESPY WWE moment of the year award this year. Rhodes has been in rivalry only with Seth Rollins since his return and has managed to beat him on all three occasions up until now.
Cody Rhodes had a successful first run in the WWE but was seen as a mid-carder during that time. He managed to clinch the intercontinental championship 2-times and won the WWE and World Tag Team Championship 3-times during his first run in the company. Out of those three, Cody Rhodes won the WWE tag titles two times with his real life half big brother Goldust, during which he played the gimmick Stardust. Rhodes left WWE in 2016 due to lack of creative freedom and he wanted to put a full stop to his Stardust Gimmick, which the WWE opposed.

Cody Rhodes had said that he expects more AEW talents top join WWE
Cody Rhodes is one of the founding members of the currently popular wrestling promotion alongside WWE, AEW. Cody Rhodes also competed as a wrestler on the promotion and became a 3-time AEW TNT Champion. Cody and his wife left the company in March 2022 after failing to negotiate with the new contract. After joining WWE in April, Rhodes gave an interview to Ariel Helwani during which he said that he expects more AEW wrestlers to join WWE. Rhodes cited the joining of AEW talents to WWE a healthy thing.
Recently, a fan on twitter posted that people underestimate the importance of Cody Rhodes in developing the AEW. Rhodes made sure to reply and said that there are facts out there and without Brandi and him the promotion wouldn’t exist. He even mentioned Tony Khan, Kenny, Dang and Jericho as pioneers. Cody Rhodes said that he has moved on to the next stage but cherishes the memories at AEW.
“Facts are all out there to see…without Brandi or i it wouldn’t exist. Look no further than some of the infrastructure in place or even half the names of the events. Tony, Bucks, Kenny, Jericho, Dana, Hang…pioneers. I’ve moved on to the next stage for me, but beautiful memories.”
Cody Rhodes is expected to return at the Royal Rumble next year.
