“It was a touching moment”; Cody Rhodes opens up on his interaction with Triple H before his return

Cody Rhodes made a surprise return to WWE after a six year long hiatus, and defeated the Visionary, Seth Rollins in one of the best matches of 2022, at the 38tu edition of the Grandest Stage of them All. While the return has been a fairytale story for the American Nightmare till now, Rhodes has opened up on a lot of moments fr his return as well.
While talking to Ryan Satin on the latest episode of Out of Character, Rhodes opened up on the interaction with WWE Hall of Famer Triple H when he returned to the company. The American Nightmare expressed that he was happy to catch up with the Hunter. Not only that but Rhodes also revealed about the anger he had with WWE for their poor booking when he was in the company back in 2015. Here’s what he said:
“In the media scrum, I didn’t say what that interaction was like because I think that interaction to him may be normal. Here he is, upper management, one of the greatest of all time, going through a lot himself. Maybe just talking to me was another Tuesday. For me, it wasn’t. It was different because he is one of my favorites, Sting, Shawn Michaels, and Triple H. I did model a great portion of what I was doing after how he had modeled a lot of the Game brand.”
“But also too, I was very, very angry. That anger remains as far as how we saw each other, how he saw me and what I wanted to do. I wanted to channel that anger differently. It was a really touching moment. I didn’t tell anybody what he said, and I won’t. But it was a touching moment.” – Sportskeeda
Cody Rhodes is set to face Seth Rollins in a rematch at WrestleMania Backlash
While Cody Rhodes was able to put the Visionary, Seth Rollins down at WrestleMania 38, the American Nightmare will once again go one-on-one with the former WWE Champion at WrestleMania Backlash in a rematch which was demanded by Seth Rollins himself.
