Cody Rhodes returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38.

Cody Rhodes is on a rise since his WWE return. The American Nightmare made a shocking return to WrestleMania 38 as Seth Rollin’s mystery opponent. The American Nightmare also won the ESPN Moment of The Year Award for the cited event. Though Cody got lashed out by Seth Rollins on Twitter following his win, it seems that Rhodes has learned to keep his calm by not reacting to situations.

One such case also came to light recently where Cody wasn’t even bothered by the company to fine him 1K $ every time he says “belts” instead of “championships” and it seems that Rhodes is completely fine with it. The incident happened during San Diego Comic-Con, when new figures and titles were being revealed, the speaker Sam Roberts mentioned “new championships.” where Cody Rhodes interrupted him to say, “You can say belts.”

Cody Rhodes fought Seth Rollins in his last televised match with a torn pectoral muscle at Hell in a Cell.

The announcer would then warn Cody of speaking belts and said he is being let off with a warning as he is the top star of the company right now otherwise it would not have been good for him but the American nightmare wasn’t having any of this as he dared WWE to impose a fine over him. Cody boldly spoke- “They can fine me $1,000 every time I say belts. I’m fine with that. If they give me a title belt, sure it’s a championship, but it also physically goes around your waist. Those are great belts.”

Cody Rhodes is currently out of action while recovering from a torn pectoral muscle, which he injured while exercising and preparing for the match against Seth Rollins at Hell in Cell. Surprisingly, Cody fought the match with such a high-profile and career-threatening injury and even went on to win the match. Rhodes had left AEW after he signed a fat-cash deal with WWE.

While fans wait for the American Nightmare’s return, it would be interesting to see what approach the creatives would opt for with Cody, who is expected to return in the latter half of 2022 or maybe in 2023, depending upon his recovery from the injury. Will he be continuing his beef with Rollins as the two share constant heat on social media or Rhodes will find himself placed in a title picture? Do let us know your thoughts in the comments.
