Cody Rhodes is set to make history this weekend. He is the ‘main event’ star of WWE. Therefore, he holds an important place in the division. However, ahead of WrestleMania, he narrowly escaped a major mishap with his tour bus.
The incident was brought to light by Cody Rhodes himself on X. He posted that he wanted to let his fans know that his tour bus caught fire. The American Nightmare confirmed being fine after that, as he escaped on time. Besides, he thanked the fire department of Philadelphia for rescuing them in time.

The Royal Rumble winner is going to face The Rock and Roman Reigns on WrestleMania Night 1 alongside Seth Rollins. He has another high-stakes matchup on Night 2 against the Tribal Chief also. The mishap with the bus could have been worse. However, he escaped on time without a scratch.
Moreover, Rhodes is close to ‘finishing his story’. Recently, he revealed the next step if he ended up achieving victory at WrestleMania. It seems the week is strange for the 38-year-old, as first he suffered a vicious beating by the Bloodline and now a mishap with a tour bus.
Cody Rhodes praised Roman Reigns ahead of WrestleMania
Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns have been at loggerheads for months. They have been arch nemeses and are going against each other at WrestleMania. With such high stakes, it seems there is no going back for the two now. However, just hours ahead of the mega match, the American Nightmare broke his character and praised the Tribal Chief for his work in WWE.
Speaking on the Pat McAfee Show, Rhodes stated that he has high respect for the Needle Mover. He called him an absolute legend and said that after about 8–10 years, Reigns was going to be looked up to highly. These were wholesome remarks Cody had for the Head of the Table. The Royal Rumble winner used the word “capturing the imagination of the audience” while referring to the Undisputed Champion.
This isn't a mind game. This isn't anything like that. I am of the thought that Roman Reigns also wants a fair fight on Sunday. I think Roman Reigns wants to prove to everybody here [that] he can go without the help of The Bloodline, without the help of The Final Boss. And I can tell you now, as much as I respect Roman Reigns, in a fair fight, he doesn't stand a chance against meCody Rhodes on Roman Reigns
These were some unexpected thoughts Rhodes had for his opponent at WrestleMania. The son of Dusty Rhodes is going against all odds to dethrone the Tribal Chief this weekend. Fans are excited to see the outcome of this match, as it has the power to change the trajectory of WWE.
