Last Sunday’s Hell in a Cell saw a remarkable appearance from Cody Rhodes. Despite having a ruptured pectoral tendon, Rhodes wrestled against Seth Rollins. Consequently, several members of the pro wrestling community praised The American Nightmare’s decision to fight despite injuries.
Rhodes and Rollins put on a fantastic match, complete with gripping storytelling. A majority of the WWE universe believes that this match cemented his status as a “made man” in WWE.
The American Nightmare assured the audience after his victory that he’d give us an update on his condition on Monday Night RAW.
Cody Rhodes has kept a social media diary of his torn pectoral muscle’s progress, and he’s now revealed another graphic image of his bruising.
The latest image, the one he shared yesterday, is from his Instagram Stories, and it shows how the bruising has spread further. Here is the screenshot from WWE on BT Sports’s Twitter timeline. The purple bruises had spread all the way down his arm to his wrist at this point.
How did Cody Rhodes get the injury?
The injury to Rhodes was first disclosed mere hours before the premium live event on Sunday. It was revealed that he had hurt his muscle during his previous week’s encounter against Rollins. Later, the injury turned into a full rupture while he attempted weightlifting at the gym.
The former AEW star then used this week’s “WWE Raw” to confront his serious injury. He fought back tears as he spoke about his daughter and how he plans to show her the match when she is older so she can see how he stood and fought.

When will Rhodes be back?
With WWE’s Money In The Bank premium event just around the corner, Rhodes made it obvious that he’d still like to get his hands on the briefcase Rhodes has received much recognition for his brave actions within the steel building this past Sunday, with legends from the past as well as contemporary contemporaries praising him. He’ll have surgery this week, according to his timetable.
