Cody Rhodes has been on the road to recovery since he suffered pectoral injury before the Hell in a Cell Live event. The American Nightmare managed to wrestle with the injury in the match and the bout received widespread acclaim, with Cody Rhodes’ performance receiving major praise.

The match also received five stars from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Newsletter Observer, the most he had given since 2011. Rhodes may return at the Royal Rumble and the WWE Universe already has speculated that the American Nightmare may win the Rumble.

Cody’s return has been one of the best WWE moments of this year and he even won the ESPY moment of the year award for it. Rhodes beat the Undertaker’s Hall of Fame induction and Steve Austin’s stunner to Vince McMahon, Pat McAfee and Austin Theory and Big E’s MITB cash in.

Rhodes’ latest appearance in the WWE was before the MITB Live event, where he gave his views on the opponents and the match. Cody Rhodes recently revealed the merchandise he was supposed to present at the Clash at the Castle Live event, implying that he would also have been a part of the event at Cardiff.

Rhodes was recently spotted at Sammy Guevara’s wedding and yesterday he seems to have spent time with the WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley. Mick shared a picture of them in a car and captioned it that he spend a great time with Cody Rhodes.

Recently, while specking on his the podcast The Busted Open, Mark Henry had said that AEW missed the chance of booking Cody Rhodes against CM Punk and he would give Rhodes a 9.5 rating and regards him a big star but not a perfection. Henry said that he wanted to see CM Punk vs Cody Rhodes and the AEW missed the opportunity. Henry stated that as a wrestling fan he was desperate to see the bout.

Rhodes left the AEW in March 2022 due to disagreements with his new contract. Rhodes wife Brandi too left the company with him.
